Today's card of the day is 1986 Topps Jim Leyland
Jim was a rookie manager of the Pirates when he decided to replace the normal cloth caps the Pirates wore with his new wire mesh caps. These were designed to allow better airflow to the head to keep you cool during the games. The Leyland-Flow 6000 was patented. Unfortunately, the design never took off due to the uncomfortableness of wearing a wire mesh hat that would often rust when it rained.
