Nothing says "Intimidation" like the mutton chop sideburn/fu manchu mustache combo. And in the early 1908's when one talked about mutton chops and fu manchus, the conversation started with Dennis Leonard. Dennis won the 1980 Mutton Chop Fu combo award barely edging out Ken Landreaux and Al Holland. It started out as a way to amuse the other pitchers on the Royals of the time, particularly Renie Martin who had a tough time growing one of his own. It soon turned into a lucrative side project as Dennis opened Dennis Leonard's Wild West Show in Tombstone, Arizona. Dennis is the star of the staged cowboy action shootout show where he kills Black Jack Shellac every 3 pm for the entertainment of the kiddies.
