Mark missed his calling. Instead of seldom used backup outfielder, he should have been influential funk bass player. He should have fronted his own funk band named "The Funderburk Express" where he would lay down the most terrifying slap bass not heard since the glory days of Parliament/Funkadelic. I can even see the likes of Kent Hrbek and Roy Smalley rocking out to the Funderburk Express at the Twins annual employee cookout.
